Automobile Technician Mechanic Job Responsibilities:

Maintains service operations by inspecting, maintaining, and repairing vehicles.

Automobile Technician Mechanic Job Duties:

  • Keeps equipment available for use by inspecting and testing vehicles; completing preventive maintenance such as, engine tune-ups, oil changes, tire rotation and changes, wheel balancing, replacing filters.
  • Maintains vehicle functional condition by listening to operator complaints; conducting inspections; repairing engine failures; repairing mechanical and electrical systems malfunctions; replacing parts and components.
  • Verifies vehicle serviceability by conducting test drives; adjusting controls and systems.
  • Complies with state vehicle requirements by testing engine, safety, and combustion control standards.
  • Maintains vehicle appearance.
  • Maintains vehicle records by recording service and repairs.
  • Keeps shop equipment operating by following operating instructions; troubleshooting breakdowns; maintaining supplies; performing preventive maintenance.
  • Contains costs by using warranty; evaluating service and parts options.
  • Keeps supplies ready by inventorying stock; placing orders; verifying receipt.
  • Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading technical publications.
  • Accomplishes maintenance and organization mission by completing related results as needed.

Position is full time with benefits that include health insurance, uniform, and 401k. Overtime available. Great work environment and great company too work for. Position pays $12-25/hr based on experience. Yearly pay and performance reviews.

Lube Technician Job Description:

  • Automotive lube technicians perform work specified on maintenance and repair orders with efficiency and in accordance with dealership and/or Honda standards
  • Auto lube techs explain mechanical diagnoses to service advisors
  • Continuously learn new technical information and techniques in formal training sessions in order to stay knowledgeable with rapidly changing technology
  • Inspect vehicles and recording findings so that necessary repairs can be made

Lube Technician Requirements:

As an Automotive Lube Technician, you will be experienced and aware of the latest automotive technologies and perform maintenance procedures. We have determined some factors that may enable your success as an Automotive Technician:

  • Team oriented and flexible
  • Working knowledge of shop equipment
  • Must have a valid U.S. driver’s license
